2020 National Night Out Event Cancelled in Ellisville
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Ellisville Police Department’s Annual National Night Out has been cancelled for 2020.
Traditionally, Ellisville has held National Night Out on the first Tuesday of October and is a national community-building campaign that encourages police-neighborhood relationships. Neighborhoods and the police department organize events that help residents and officers get to know one another better, build community spirit, and demonstrate a community’s commitment to keeping their neighborhood free from crime.
For the continued well-being of the City of Ellisville residents, Chief Lewis has made the difficult decision to cancel National Night Out for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This marks the first time that the popular event in Ellisville has been cancelled.
The police department looks forward to next year’s National Night Out when we can all safely come together again. We hope to see all of you then as this is one of our favorite community events.
