[ARCHIVED] Free Family Movie Night Returns to Bluebird Park

Movie

The Ellisville Parks Department is thrilled to invite families of all ages to our brand-new Free Family Movie Night Series, where community spirit meets big-screen fun in the great outdoors.

Movie Magic at Bluebird Park

There’s nothing quite like watching your favorite characters come to life on a towering outdoor screen, the summer breeze in your hair, and the laughter of neighbors all around. Join us for the heartwarming adventure Moana 2, premiering on Friday, August 8th. When the sky turns twilight, settle in for an unforgettable voyage across the ocean, no passport required!

What You Need to Bring

  • Seating: Whether you prefer a fold-up lawn chair or a fluffy picnic blanket, bring whatever makes you comfortable.

  • Snacks & Drinks: Pack your family’s favorite movie treats (popcorn, candy, juice boxes) or swing by one of our local concessions for a classic summer snack.

  • Bug Spray & Cozy Layers: Evenings can get a little crisp; a light jacket or sweater will keep everyone snug as the feature unfolds.

Why You Won’t Want to Miss This

  • Community Connection: Mingle with neighbors, meet new friends, and share that collective “ooh” when Maui strums his guitar.

  • Totally Free: No tickets, no fees, just pure family-friendly entertainment courtesy of the Ellisville Parks Department.

  • Safe, Scenic Setting: Bluebird Park offers a spacious, well-lit environment where little ones can roam (gently!) before showtime.

Plan Your Evening

Arrive around 7:30 PM to claim your spot on the lawn, space is plenty but the early bird gets the prime viewing real estate! The movie will begin at dark, just after dusk settles in (usually around 8:15-8:30 PM in early August).

So pencil in Friday, August 8th on your family calendar and rally the troops for a night of laughter, singing along, and perhaps the occasional teary eye when Moana’s courage shines through. We can’t wait to share this cinematic journey with you, popcorn buckets at the ready, flip-flops kicked off, and summer memories in the making. See you under the stars at Bluebird Park!
