The City of Ellisville offers the residents and businesses of Ellisville free mulch year round and free loading of mulch one Saturday in the spring of the year.

WHEN?
For 2025 free loading of mulch will be provided on the following date.
 Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

WHERE?
Mulch will be provided and loaded at the Ellisville Public Works mulch yard located at 553 Old State Road here in Ellisville.

WHO?
Only residents and businesses of Ellisville are eligible to take part in the free mulch loading service (proof of residency or proof of business operation will be required).

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The program will be first come, first served on the specified day. Bring your open vehicle or trailer to the mulch yard and be prepared to provide proof of residency or business operation. Mulch will be loaded with a tractor only, hand loading by shovel will not be provided. You will be required to sign a Waiver of Understanding and Hold Harmless Agreement before the service is provided. City staff may decline for any reason and at any time to load mulch into your vehicle or trailer. Mulch may not always be available. City staff will direct you for the loading of mulch. You and anyone accompanying you will be required to remain in your vehicle while in the mulch loading area for safety reasons. The City will not be responsible for any damage to your open vehicle or trailer from the loading or hauling of free mulch. Once loading is complete city staff will direct you out of the mulch area, at that time you may secure your loaded mulch. The City makes no representation as to the quality, content or quantity of the mulch provided.
You are always welcome to come by our mulch facility and load your own mulch by hand. We are generally open from sunrise to sunset year round. Thank you for taking part in our eco- friendly mulch service.
